AI chat & ticket AI

Let the bot answer questions in a chat channel, on mention, and inside support tickets.

How AI chat works

A question is asked, the AI thinks, then types out and posts a drafted reply. How do I reset my role? Use /role remove to unassign it.

AI Chat is off by default. Once it is on, the bot replies to any message posted in a channel you have chosen, and - unless you turn that off - to any message anywhere in the server that mentions the bot. Messages containing @everyone or @here are ignored.

Each message is answered on its own. The bot does not remember earlier messages in the conversation, so a follow-up question needs to restate what it is about. Replies are trimmed to Discord's 2,000-character limit.

Setting it up

Everything is configured with /aichat, or from the AI Chat page of the dashboard. Each server has one AI channel. Setup can be run again at any time to move it to another channel or change the prompt.

/aichat setup
Turn AI chat on. Optional: a channel to reply in, whether to reply to mentions, whether to show an AI Help button on tickets, and the system prompt.
/aichat remove-channel
Stop replying in one channel without turning the whole feature off.
/aichat status
Show the current channel, mention setting, ticket setting and prompt.
/aichat off
Stop all AI replies for this server. Your settings are kept.

The system prompt

The system prompt tells the assistant who it is and how to behave, and it is sent with every request. The default is a general Discord support assistant; a good prompt names your server, what you sell or support, and what the bot should refuse to do.

The prompt can be up to 1,500 characters from the command. It is one of the settings Copy settings carries between your servers, so a prompt you like only needs writing once.

Cooldowns and limits

Server limit
Up to 6 AI replies per minute per server, shared by every member. Past that, the bot says once how many seconds to wait.
Reply length
Capped at 2,000 characters.
No memory
Each message is sent alone, without earlier messages from the channel.
Provider outage
If every provider fails, the bot replies "The AI is not reachable right now" instead of leaving a typing indicator hanging.

Which providers answer

Noxyr does not ask you for an API key. Requests go to Google AI first (Gemini, with Flash models preferred), then to free models on OpenRouter, then to Groq. Up to three models per provider are tried before moving on, and the model list refreshes itself every hour.

Because the message text is sent to a third-party model, do not turn AI chat on in channels where people post private information.

AI help inside tickets

With the ticket_help option on (or the "AI help" toggle on the Tickets page), every new ticket gets an AI Help button next to the usual controls. Pressing it posts a short message telling the person to mention the bot and describe the problem; the reply then arrives in the ticket the same way a mention does anywhere else.

The button only appears when the AI Chat module is on, AI chat is enabled and tickets are opted in. Turn any of those off and it disappears from new tickets; pressing it on an old ticket just says AI help is not enabled.

Ticket AI relies on mentions, so keep respond_to_mentions on. It also answers each message on its own - staff still own the ticket.

Turning it off

/aichat off stops every reply, including in tickets, and keeps your channel and prompt for later. Turning the AI Chat module off with /module does the same and also hides the /aichat command. To keep AI chat for mentions in tickets but stop replies in the channel, use /aichat remove-channel.
