Buttons & menus
Choose the classic or in-card look for buttons and dropdowns, and swap a row of buttons for one dropdown.
Two looks
V2 puts buttons and dropdown menus inside the message card. V1 is the classic look: an embed with the buttons under it. New servers start on V2.
Buttons and dropdown menus are chosen separately, as a server default plus an optional override per feature (tickets, catalog, verification, reviews, suggestions, polls, music, welcome, help and DMs). A message with a dropdown follows the menu setting; a message with only buttons follows the button setting.
Buttons or one dropdown
Some messages carry a whole row of buttons. Each of these can show the same actions as one dropdown instead. Buttons stay the default, so nothing changes until a server picks Dropdown.
- Tickets
- Claim, close, AI help and FAQ inside each ticket become one Ticket actions menu.
- Polls
- Vote options become a dropdown. Polls with 4 or more choices always use one.
- Music player
- Play, pause, skip, volume, loop, shuffle, filters and queue become one Player controls menu.
Open tickets, the music player and running polls switch the next time their message updates.
Where to change it
- Dashboard: Control, then Buttons & Menus. Pick the server default look, the Buttons or Dropdown choice per feature, and per-feature looks. Re-post live panels switches ticket, verify, suggestion and catalog panels straight away.
- Discord: /style view shows everything, /style set changes the look or the layout (feature, buttons, dropdowns, layout), /style reset puts features back on the server default look; a dropdown layout stays until you set it back to buttons.
- First setup: the dashboard setup wizard and /quicksetup look ask for the look and the dropdowns too.
