Schedules
Timed messages, automatic channel cleanup, and channels that lock at night and open in the morning.
Three kinds
- Message
- Posts the same message (plain text or an embed) in up to five channels, every 15 minutes to 7 days. It can delete its last post first, so the channel only ever has one copy.
- Cleanup
- Every 30 minutes to 7 days, deletes messages older than a set time, or everything except the newest ones (1 to 90). Pinned messages stay unless you say otherwise.
- Lock
- Members cannot write in up to ten channels between the lock and unlock times, on the days you pick, in your time zone. Optional messages are posted when it locks and opens.
Set it up
On the dashboard: Automation → Schedules. Pick the kind, the channels and the timing, then save. You can edit, pause and delete schedules from the list next to it.
- /schedule message
- A timed message: channel, text, minutes between posts.
- /schedule cleanup
- A cleanup: channel, minutes between runs, and older_than_minutes or keep_last.
- /schedule lock
- A lock: channel, lock_at and unlock_at (24h, like 23:00), time_zone, days.
- /schedule list
- Every schedule with its next run and any problem.
- /schedule toggle | remove
- Pause, resume or delete one. Deleting a locked schedule opens its channels again.
Good to know
- Limits
- Up to 10 schedules of each kind per server.
- Cleanup
- Each run looks at the newest 100 messages. Discord does not let bots bulk-delete messages older than 14 days, so those stay.
- Lock
- The bot changes the Send Messages permission of @everyone in the channel and gives back exactly what was there before. It needs Manage Permissions in that channel.
- Saved mid-window
- A lock schedule saved during its locked hours locks right away.
