Staff applications

An Apply button that opens a private channel, asks your questions one at a time, and lets staff accept or reject with a button.

How it works

A staff application form lands in a review queue and gets accepted with a role granted. Review queue Applicant Moderator app Accept Staff

Pressing the Apply button creates a channel only the applicant and the staff role can see and asks the first question. Every answer (up to 1,000 characters) is saved and the next question follows, so a bot restart or a break resumes at the next unanswered question. Typing cancel stops the application.

The finished application is posted to the review channel with Accept and Reject buttons. Accept gives the accept role if one is set; either decision is sent to the applicant as a DM. The private channel closes about a minute after the last answer.

Default questions are age and timezone, weekly hours, moderation experience and why they want to join. Replace them with your own; fewer, sharper questions get finished more often.
