Ticket problems
Ticket channel not created, staff cannot see tickets, close button does nothing, transcript missing.
No channel is created
- Category full
- Discord allows 50 channels per category. Close old tickets or enable delete channel on close. A server also has a 500 channel limit.
- Missing permissions
- The bot needs Manage Channels and View Channel on the category. A category where @everyone is denied View Channel must explicitly allow the bot role.
- Open ticket limit
- max_open_per_user (default 1) stops a member who already has a ticket open. The bot tells them and links the existing one.
- Blacklisted
- A blacklisted member is told they cannot open tickets.
Staff cannot see the ticket
Tickets are visible to the opener, the staff roles set on the panel (or the server-wide staff role), and administrators. If a staff member cannot see it, their role is not in the panel's staff roles. Add it on the Ticket Panels page; existing tickets get the new role on the next ticket update, or add the person with /ticket add.
Close button does nothing
If the ticket was opened by a panel that was since deleted, or the bot lost its record after a reset, the button has nothing to act on. Use /close now in the channel, which works from the channel itself. If require_close_reason is on, the button opens a pop-up first; check that a pop-up is not being blocked.
Transcript missing
Transcripts are saved when Save transcripts is on in the ticket config. They go to the transcript channel if one is set, to the opener's DMs if DM transcript is on and their DMs are open, and always to the dashboard (Latest Transcripts). A transcript of an image-heavy ticket can take a moment to render.
Every failure the bot can detect is posted to the log channel with the reason. Set one on the Setup page if you have not.
