Bot offline or not responding

What to check when the bot shows offline, commands time out, or nothing happens.

Is it actually offline?

A free host flickers offline while a Noxyr-hosted bot stays steadily online. Free host Bot process Z z z Noxyr hosted Bot process 24/7 · no sleep timer

Look at the bot in the member list. Offline (gray) means the bot process is not connected to Discord; check the public status page and /cloud for a host incident. Online but silent means a permission or configuration problem, which the rest of this page covers. "The application did not respond" after a command means the bot received it but could not answer within three seconds, usually a slow database or a host under load; try again in a minute.

Online but nothing happens

Module off
A disabled module hides its commands and stops its buttons. Modules page.
Channel permissions
The bot cannot see the channel or cannot send there. Check the channel overrides for the bot role.
Missing setup
Tickets without a category, catalog without a channel. Overview checklist.
Maintenance mode
The Noxyr team can pause commands during an incident; the status page says so.

Custom bots

A custom bot runs on its own host. If your custom bot is offline but Noxyr is online, open the Custom Bot page: it shows the host, the vote window and the last error. An expired vote window stops the custom bot; voting again restarts it.

Still stuck

Open the Support Center and include the server ID, the command you ran, the time, and a screenshot. The activity log timestamps help the team find the request in their logs.
