Auto-closing inactive tickets
Close tickets that went silent after a set number of hours, and what the member sees.
Setting
auto_close_hours on Ticket Configuration or /ticket setup. 0 turns it off. The bot sweeps open tickets periodically and closes any whose last message is older than the limit, with the close reason "Auto-closed after N inactive hour(s)". The transcript, rating DM and log entry happen as for a manual close.
Picking a number
Support with fast replies: 24 to 48 hours. Sales tickets where buyers wait for payday: 72 hours or more. Remember the timer counts from the last message by anyone, so a staff "any update?" restarts it. Use /remind to DM the member before it expires if the ticket matters.
What it will not do
It does not close tickets that are claimed and locked differently from others; every open ticket is treated the same. It does not warn before closing; post a message yourself or set a longer limit. Members can open a new ticket afterwards, subject to max_open_per_user.
