Embed builder

Send custom embeds from Discord with /embed send or a pop-up form, and from the dashboard with a live preview.

Two ways to send an embed

Fields typed into a form on the left build a Discord embed preview on the right. TitleDescriptionWelcome to Novafooter · today

/embed is an admin command with two subcommands. /embed send takes every field as a command option, which is fastest when you already know what you want. /embed quick-create opens a pop-up form (a Discord modal) where you type the fields in boxes, which is easier for longer text.

Both post a single embed to the channel you pick. Neither edits an existing message; to change a posted embed, send a new one and delete the old.

/embed send options

channel
Required. Where the embed is posted.
title
Embed title, up to 256 characters.
description
Main text, up to 4096 characters. Type \n where you want a line break.
color
A hex code like #FF0000 or a color name like Red. Leave it out to use the server embed color from the Customize page.
image_url
A direct link to an image (ending in .png, .jpg, .gif or .webp). Discord attachments and Google Drive share links do not work.
footer
Small text under the embed.
button_label and button_url
Add a link button under the embed. Both are needed; a label without a URL is ignored.

/embed quick-create

Opens a form with the same fields as text boxes. The form has Discord's five-input limit, so image and button fields are not on it; use /embed send when you need those.

The form is the same pattern the Quick Create menu uses for ticket panels and catalogs, so staff who know one know the other.

From the dashboard

The Customize page sets the default embed color and a fallback image for every embed the bot posts, and the embed preview widget shows how a panel or welcome message will look before you save. Panel-specific embeds (ticket panels, catalog, verification, welcome) are edited on their own pages rather than through /embed.

Embeds are part of the Utilities module. If /embed is missing from the command list, check the Modules page.
