Carl-bot is a free all-round community bot best known for reaction roles, moderation, logging and custom commands, with a Premium plan for higher limits, levels, sticky messages and a custom avatar. Noxyr is free with no premium plan and covers different ground: tickets, a store with invoices, anti-nuke security, giveaways and music. Because they overlap so little, running both is a reasonable setup.

The short version

Carl-bot's premium page (checked September 23, 2026) compares Free and Premium. Free includes 250 reaction roles per server, 5 YouTube channel alerts, 2 Twitch alerts and 100 weblog entries. Premium raises those to 1,000, 20, 5 and 500, and adds levels and XP, sticky messages, auto purge, voice-role links, timed reaction roles, a separate farewell channel, Drama Watcher and a custom bot avatar and banner. Premium is sold through Patreon or a Discord subscription; the page does not list a price, so check at checkout.

Carl-bot's own feature list does not include a ticket system or a store. Those are Noxyr's core, and they are free.

Where Carl-bot is the right call

Reaction roles are Carl-bot's signature feature, and Noxyr has none. Carl-bot's logging, infraction history and TagScript custom commands are deep tools that moderation-heavy communities rely on, and its Twitch and YouTube alerts come free within limits. If those are what your server runs on, keep Carl-bot.

Where Noxyr is the right call

If your server needs support tickets, sells products or services, or wants anti-nuke limits on mass bans, kicks and channel deletions, Noxyr covers that and none of it is in Carl-bot's feature list. Noxyr also gives you free what Carl-bot puts on Premium in two places: sticky messages, and branding, where Noxyr goes further with a full custom bot under your own name and avatar for a Top.gg vote.

Can you run both?

Yes: Carl-bot for reaction roles, logging and custom commands, Noxyr for tickets, the store and security. Their features barely overlap.
