Yes, you can run a full Discord ticket system under a bot with your own name and avatar instead of a shared third-party one. Noxyr's Custom Bot feature puts its entire ticket system, panels, staff roles, claiming, close countdowns, saved transcripts and the searchable FAQ, behind a bot token you own, for free in exchange for one Top.gg vote. Support still gets answered exactly the same way; it just comes from a bot carrying your server's or shop's name.
Why the ticket bot's name matters
A support ticket is one of the most direct interactions a member has with your server. When it opens under "Noxyr" or any other generic third-party name, it reads like you outsourced support, because you did. Agencies running client servers, shops handling order issues, and communities that sell memberships or coaching all get the same complaint: the bot answering tickets doesn't look like it belongs to the thing being supported. Swapping the name and avatar fixes that without changing anything about how the ticket system actually works.
What runs under your brand
- Panels. The button members press to open a ticket, post as many as you need, each with its own category, staff roles and welcome message.
- Staff tools. Claiming, closing immediately or on a countdown, and everything staff already use with
/ticketand/close. - Transcripts. Saved automatically when a ticket closes, viewable on the web, and postable to a transcript channel.
- The FAQ. A searchable set of answers members can query themselves before a human ever gets involved.
- AI help, if you use it. The optional AI Help button on tickets works the same way, answering under your bot's name too.
How it works technically
A custom bot is the same Noxyr code and the same database, running under a Discord application and token you created. You keep the application and its token; Noxyr's infrastructure logs in with it and runs its feature set through that identity. Settings live in one shared database, so a ticket category, staff role or panel you already configured under Noxyr's main bot keeps working unchanged, the custom bot just answers in its place going forward. Nothing about your tickets, open or closed, is duplicated or migrated.
Setting it up
- Vote for Noxyr on Top.gg, then open Custom Bot on your server's dashboard.
- Create an application in the Discord Developer Portal, name it, and set its avatar.
- Turn on Server Members Intent and Message Content Intent on the Bot tab, then Reset Token and copy it.
- Paste the token into the Custom Bot page, pick a host (Automatic is fine), and press Start my bot.
- Invite it with the link the page gives you. It's online in about twenty seconds, already registering commands under its own name.
Full requirements and the exact vote-window rules are in the Custom Bot docs; ticket-specific settings, categories, staff roles and panels, are unchanged and covered in the tickets docs.
What you're not giving up
Noxyr still has to stay in the server, since the custom bot depends on its settings and database. That's the one real trade-off: your server invites two bots, but only one of them, yours, is the one members and staff ever interact with for tickets, since Noxyr steps aside wherever a custom bot is present. If you turn the Tickets module off entirely, both bots stop answering it, module settings apply to whichever bot is currently serving the server.
Cost and limits
One Top.gg vote unlocks setup and keeps the bot running for 12 hours. Miss the window and a 74-hour grace period keeps it online while you vote again, nothing is deleted either way. One Discord account gets one custom bot, but that one bot can run in every server you manage, so an agency running several client servers under the same identity doesn't need to set this up more than once.
Running it across several client servers
Agencies handling support for more than one server are the clearest case for this. Instead of a different generically-named bot answering tickets in each client's server, or, worse, the agency's own name showing up in someone else's community, the same custom bot can be invited into every server the agency manages. Each one still needs Noxyr present too, and each one keeps its own tickets, staff roles and panels separately in the shared database, invoicing one client's support activity never touches another's. The bot's identity is the only thing shared across servers; the settings and history underneath stay per-server, exactly like they would with Noxyr's main bot.
This also means a rename affects every server at once. Change the avatar for a rebrand and it updates everywhere the bot is running, there's no per-server override for the bot's own name and avatar, since those live on the Discord application, not in any one server's settings.
Common questions
Will staff notice a difference in how tickets work? No. The commands, panels, and close flow are identical; only the name and avatar on the messages change.
Do old transcripts move with a rename? There's nothing to move. Transcripts are stored in the shared database against the server, not against whichever bot happens to be answering that day.
Can I use this for tickets only and nothing else? You can turn off any module you don't want, security, store, giveaways, and your custom bot simply won't respond to those commands. Tickets can be the only thing it does.
Is there a paid tier for this? No. The entire cost is one Top.gg vote; there's no subscription for the branded ticket system or anything else in the feature set.
Does the server need both bots invited? Yes. Noxyr has to remain in the server for the custom bot's settings and database to mean anything; kicking it pauses the custom bot until it's invited back.
