Security
Anti-spam and anti-nuke protection, and what each setting actually does.
Two independent systems
The Security module is a master switch. It is on by default, but nothing acts until you enable anti-spam or anti-nuke individually - so turning the module on never starts moderating your members by surprise.
- Anti-spam
- Watches message rate, duplicates and mass mentions, then times the member out.
- Anti-nuke
- Watches destructive admin actions such as mass channel or role deletion.
Anti-spam settings
- Max messages / window
- How many messages in how many seconds counts as spam.
- Duplicate limit
- How many identical messages are allowed.
- Mention limit
- Mass-mention threshold.
- Timeout minutes
- How long an offender is muted.
- Delete messages
- Whether the offending messages are removed.
Before you rely on it
Set a log channel first. Without one the bot still acts, but you get no record of what it did or why - which makes a false positive very hard to diagnose.
Administrators and your configured admin roles are exempt from anti-spam.
