# Auto reactions

Pick a channel and some emojis: the bot adds those reactions to every new message posted there.

## How it works

Choose a channel and up to five emojis. From then on, every new message a member posts there gets those reactions, in the order you listed them. Members see at a glance that their feedback was seen, and can vote by adding to the count.

Messages from bots are skipped, and so are commands typed with your prefix. Messages that were already in the channel are left alone.

## Commands

- **/autoreact set emojis:<emojis>**: Set the reactions for this channel, or pick another with the channel option. Separate emojis with spaces, for example ⭐ ✅. Setting it again replaces the old list.
- **/autoreact remove [channel]**: Stop auto reactions in a channel. Reactions already added stay.
- **/autoreact list**: Every channel with auto reactions in the server, and its emojis.
- **Auto React page (dashboard)**: Automation → Auto React: pick the channel, add emojis with the emoji picker, and edit or remove channels from the list.

## Good to know

- **Limits**: Up to five emojis per channel and up to 20 channels per server.
- **Custom emojis**: Must be uploaded to your own server, so the bot can always use them. Normal emojis work everywhere.
- **One reaction each**: If your server also has a custom bot, only one of the two reacts, so nothing is doubled.
- **Good channels for it**: Feedback, vouches, suggestions, art and clip showcases, announcements you want people to acknowledge.

> Note: The bot needs Add Reactions and Read Message History in the channel. /autoreact set tells you when one of them is missing.
